How are ratings calculated?

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don't use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

We own this unit but an earlier model. We are getting ready to buy it again but only because we are selling our home and old one conveys with house. We have had it for almost nine years and it runs amazing! We are a family of NINE so it is running all day!!! Teens and kids are using it too so it is going through a lot of adventures!! Including cloth diapers, hard water and fine sand, fossels, rocks, earbuds, paper, beads, needles, hairbows matchbox cars, batteries :/, you name it! 9 years + is proof of quality ... for a family our size and how long washers last these days. For complaints others are posting, please follow tips in manual!!!! It takes a little to transition yes, but worth it. Wrinkling.....do not over load, remove promptly ( like any dryer)! Drying time....do not over load, separate similiar weighted fabrics, (you should do that with any washer to avoid pilling, ex. don't wash towels with t-shirts, jeans with t-shirts or sheets with wash cloths) it causes pilling and inefficient drying ;). Don't be scared of dry time on LED, it readjusts as it senses dampness ,plus many times I have pulled out over an hour early and it is dry( like any dryer). In addition figure in time saved from transferring wet clothes to a dryer. How many times have you forgotton to put in dryer and hours passed so clothes aren't dry on time, or worse, smell like wet dog and need to be rewashed! Mine never smell and it drys auto so no forgetting! You can set to dry automatically or you can skip dry and hang clothes. Also, many functions to personalize loads for delicate or bulky fabs. Cleaning lint is a breeze if you do it when it is damp, lint is still damp around door seal after drying so just wipe it when load ends or use a damp paper towel. I would HIGHLY recommend a pedestal since you need to clean the lint trap once a week. It is on front bottom corner and there is a drain tube you drain any residual water first. It is quick but it is tedious without the pedestal because low to ground you have to hold catch container, if raised gravity would assist and container could fit below tube in front of machine . We will just build one this time around. Being LG, parts are easy to come by even after 9 years and very affordable. We got parts on E bay and Amazon. We will never go back to separate wash/dry units, so loving it! It uses a standard outlet, no need for 220, and no vent since steam dried. It saves space (one unit instead of two), so you have room for a hamper. Lastly, clothes last longer, the steam drying is gentler so clothes don't fade, lose fuzz and pill like in standard dryer.

So far I love it. It does a great job removing lint and hair. It's quiet as long as you remember to remove the shipping bolts🤦🏻‍♀️. It's also made life so much easier not having to switch the clothes back and forth. Would by again!

I absolutely despise this machine that I have had for two days. It doesn't dry the clothes, and it takes hours to do anything. After 2 1/2 hours of washing on the 'normal' setting, the clothes were still damp. I put them back in and set it to "No Spin" and "Timed Dry", which defaulted to 55 minutes. The FIRST thing it did, after I said "No spin" was to SPIN AND POUR MORE WATER ON THE CLOTHES. Actually, before that, I put it in for "Turbo Dry" -- which suggest "quick drying", and the machine decided that it would run for SEVEN HOURS AND THIRTY EIGHT MINUTES. This thing is the poster child for way too much technology, illegible and incomplete instructions, and about 12,000 different combinations of options.

I would advise buying a normal side-by-side w/d set. I'm returning this over-engineering nightmare.

This washer/dryer combo is perfect for an apartment or condominium. Much larger capacity that other models. Uses very little water and power.

LINT, LINT AND MORE LINT. Oh god IT IS EVERYWHERE IF YOU USE A DRYER PART... I absolutely hate every minute of dealing with an aftermath of drying in this machine, because no matter how much I wipe and clean and vacuum the lint it still ends up all over the next wash cycle of clothes.. I should have believed the previous reviews where people describe the same problem... as for washer part - excellent.. but it doesn't matter, after what you have to deal with with the dryer part You will hate the overall everything. DO NOT BUY this for the dryer part. It doesn't even DRY fully. Limited options for dryer. HATE HATE REGRET BUY.

I love this combo unit for what it is... Much better than a Splendide we tried before. It actually dries our clothes & doesn't leave them too wrinkly. It definitely does put heat & moisture into the air though, which we weren't expecting so much of. In AZ in the summer, that's going to be an issue for us. Right now, we usually run it at night with a fan in the nearby window to help. The only other thing we don't like about it is that all the lint goes right into the rubber gasket & we have to clean it every time before we pull our clothes out. It's not a long task but it's obnoxious & cleaning the rubber grooves is harder than cleaning a typical lint trap.

It's been a great addition to our apartment so far, overall.
